Answers:
1. Can my site me made like this?
If you have an existing site we may be able to apply this for you. If you are staring from scratch you will be able to have a site built like this. Please contact us to discuss.
2. Are sites made in this way search engine friendly?
Yes they are, in the address bar you can see the full path filename of the pages without long strings of strange characters and question marks, that means the search engines can see the pages, you can also very quickly and simply edit the meta tags that the search engine uses.
3. Can I edit the site myself?
If you have internet access you can edit your site. You will access the site via a secure login, once you have logged in you will be able to add, remove and edit pages and menus.
4. How skilled with computers do I need to be to use this?
Very basic word processing skills will be enough. The interface is as show in the image below, the text is keyed into the main screen then styles applied as you would in a word processor, click save and your new text is live on your site.
5. Do I have to understand FTP and other web terms / processes?
Absolutely not - once the site is set up editing and adding and deleting pages is very straightforward, when you change a page or add new text when you click save your changes are immediately live on your web site.
6. Can I update the meta data tags that search engines use?
Yes you can - again it is as simple as using a word processor, the screen is shown below.
